Weißburgunder, also called Pinot Blanc, is a white wine variety that is grown in Germany and many other wine-growing regions around the world. The grape variety is a mutation of Pinot Noir and has similar soil and climate requirements. Pinot Blanc is grown in many wine-growing regions around the world, including France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Australia and the United States. The variety is characterized by a fruity aroma that can be reminiscent of pears, apples, peaches or citrus fruits. Pinot Blanc is a dry wine variety with moderate acidity and a medium to full body. The variety is often aged in steel tanks to preserve its fresh fruit aromas. In some regions, however, it is also aged in oak barrels to produce complex aromas of vanilla, toast and nuts.

Pinot Blanc is an important white wine variety in Germany and is grown in almost all wine-growing regions. The variety has a light yellow to golden color and a fresh aroma with notes of apples, pears and citrus fruits. Pinot Blanc is a dry wine variety with medium to high acidity and a medium to full body. In Germany, Pinot Blanc is matured both in steel tanks and in oak barrels in order to achieve different flavor profiles. Pinot Blanc from Germany is often elegant and balanced, with a fine acid backbone and subtle aromas of minerals and herbs. The variety is often recommended as an accompaniment to fish dishes, seafood or white meat.

This Blanc de Blancs already shows an elegant complexity in the nose: in addition to citrus notes and candied lemon, there are fine hints of yeast dough. On the palate it is delicate yet well structured. This sparkling wine is reminiscent of quince and yellow apple and is joined by hints of roasted hazelnuts and nut butter. The fine Mousseux is harmoniously integrated due to the long maturation in the sparkling wine cellar. The Blanc de Blancs is carried by a playful elegance and is rounded off by wonderful brioche notes and a fine saltiness in the finish. A sparkling wine with razor-sharp precision and, despite its maturity, with stunning freshness.

In the Fürst winery, the cultivation and development of the white Burgundy varieties based on the Burgundian model is of particular importance. The grapes are lightly crushed with the feet, ferment in small oak barrels and are only bottled after at least 16 months of storage on the full yeast. The Weisse Burgunder R comes from the easternmost plot of the Bürgstadter Berg and represents the finest Weisses Burgunder of the winery. The Chardonnay R and the Astheimer Chardonnay Ortswein come from the Karthäuser Grand Cru site and grow on sparse, white shell limestone. If the Bürgstadter wines are racy and filigree with a pronounced minerality, mostly with animating citrus notes, the Karthäuser stands for its minerality from the shell limestone, is particularly fine and silky, tastes of pear and grapefruit and after a while in the bottle has nice brioche notes and nuttiness .
