Vineyard

The VDP.GROSSE LAGE® MAUSTAL vineyard lies within a vast amphitheater formed by the Main River, south of Sulzfeld in the Maindreieck region. The slopes are steep, with an incline of around 50 percent, and descend to the south and southeast. The soils of the four-hectare site consist of barren, skeletal Upper Muschelkalk limestone, which the vines must penetrate with vigorous root systems. Silvaner, Riesling, and Pinot Noir are the predominant grape varieties grown on these slopes. (Source: VDP.de)
