2023 Gipskeuper Chardonnay & Weißburgunder Cuvée | dry
A full-bodied and smoky, reductive cuvée of Chardonnay & Pinot Blanc. Like the house's great white wines, it is allowed to rest on the lees for two winters and then bottled unfiltered to fully preserve its depth and structure. Grown on calcareous Gipskeuper soils, the two partners are a symbiotic match: Chardonnay impresses with fruity hints of grapefruit and a hint of green apple, while also bringing spicy, caramel notes to the table, lending a pleasantly creamy drinking experience. Meanwhile, the Pinot Blanc delivers fresh citrus fruit, a hint of green nuts, and a pleasant acidity structure, rounding out the Gipskeuper Chardonnay & Pinot Blanc to create a perfect cuvée.
