Vineyard

The Würzburger Stein is a south-facing location that is shell-shaped on the Main and offers a wonderful view of the city. He is lying on one Height of 210-250 m above sea level. The narrow ridge drops steeply at the back. The vineyard itself is protected from the warm westerly winds as well as from North and East winds. The name Stein is derived from the sun-drenched, very steep limestone slope. The soil is due to weathering of the Shell limestone, in which loam and clay layers are embedded in places.
