Wolfshöhle

Vineyard

The Wolfshöhle vineyard is located in the Steeger Valley, following the Bacharacher Posten. The vineyards with a 50-60% slope are at an altitude of 100-200 m above sea level and are exposed to the south. The location name Wolfshöhle comes from the Middle High German word Halde, from which location names such as Assmannshäuser Höllenberg, Hochheimer Hölle etc. justify their origin. The soil structure in the Wolfshöhle changes from clay slate to crystalline slate. The wines from the Wolfshöhle impress with their special fruit aromas, which range from peach and apricot to Mediterranean fruits such as passion fruit and lime.
