Bacharach is located in the heart of the Middle Rhine region. The Ratzenberger family has been producing top-quality wines here for three generations. In the middle of the deeply cut Rhine Valley with its beautiful side valleys, the winery has top quality vineyards.
Ratzenberger's philosophy: Our main focus is on Riesling, which has a long tradition here on the Middle Rhine. Low hectare yields and natural viticulture create the basis for outstanding wines. Using the latest cellar technology, we maintain the quality of the grapes and produce fine-fruity Rieslings with high aging potential. The winery is equipped with very spacious and historic cross-vaulted cellars and representative company buildings. In order to create substantial qualities, the yield is deliberately reduced. A significant proportion of older vineyards up to 50 years of age are preserved and cared for. The Riesling is absolutely in the foreground. It is also used to produce one of the best sect in the country, which must have had yeast storage for at least 30 months.
