VDP.ERSTE LAGE: 2023 Hanweiler Berg Lemberger | dry
A deeply crimson Lemberger from the cool idyll of the Hanweiler hill, which gives this wine a metallic, juicy atmosphere with rich spruce wood. Smoky secondary aromas reminiscent of tobacco and leather, combined with gripping tannin, deepen the dense texture of juicy blackcurrant.
Fermentation: 3.5 weeks of maceration; 15% with whole grapes
Expansion: 100% barrique, 14 months 20% new barrels | 80% second occupancy
Residual sugar & acid: 3.4 g/l, 6.2 g/l
