VDP.GUTSWEIN: 2022 Merlot Reserve | dry
First, a powerful body, paired with fine ethereal and present cherry fruit as well as floral notes of flowers as an entrée in the nose. The fresh, tart impression is repeated on the palate and is combined with intense aromas of cherry and blackcurrant. This exquisite Merlot gets texture through its present, fine-meshed tannin and the pointed acid structure. In the finale, there is a delicate, smoky cocoa note that is reminiscent of Cuban tobacco. 6 weeks maceration with whole berries.
