2012 MonRose - Grande Cuvée Réserve | extra brut | Raumland
2012 was an exceptional year for sparkling wine, which is why Raumland's waited over 10 years for some of their sparkling wines to finally showcase their full potential. The MonRose Grande Cuvée is only produced in exceptional years. When blending the 2012 base wines, the Pinot Noir parcels from the Dalsheimer Bürgel vineyard were so impressive that this year they decided to present the MonRose exclusively with one grape variety – Pinot Noir. On the palate, powerful and persistent notes of apricot and red currant unfold. The generous aging of the base wines in oak barrels imparts spicy notes that give the sparkling wine structure. The fine mousse underscores the elegance of the sparkling wine. This sparkling wine has a long finish. Raumland's heart and soul go into this cuvée, which is dedicated to the Heide-Rose.
