wine description

2008 Blanc de Noirs - Grande Réserve | brut | Raumland

2008 was an outstanding vintage for sparkling wine - one could even cautiously claim a vintage of the century! Raumlands Blanc de NoirsGrande Réserve 2008 is a terrific example of this vintage. Puristic and very representative of the elegance of the Pinot Noir grape, it shows precision and complexity in the glass. The grapes come from the Hohen-Sülzer Kirchenstück. The church piece is a VDP.Große.Lage and characterizes this sparkling wine with a special minerality, fine fruit and enormous complexity and length. Tempting, inviting scent of flowers, apricots, wild berries and roasted hazelnuts. Fresh, lively start; The full aroma dances through the palate with the exceptionally delicate perlage. This is the ultimate sparkling wine pleasure. Due to the long yeast storage, all aromas are in harmony and are surrounded by spicy and yeasty notes. (Source: Raumland)
