2018 Pinot Noir Am Gutenberg dry
The Pinot Noir “Am Gutenberg” is an old Deidesheim win, which slopes slightly to the southeast on the edge of the Haardt Mountains. Sandstone and pebbles mix with chalky loess. Here we have planted a selection of special Pinot varieties with Burgundy origin. Fewer than 3000 bottles were filled.
Intense scent of spicy sour cherries, fine wood and a mystical depth on the nose, sour cherries, red currants, thyme and some black olives on the palate. The piquant acidity gives the wine great tension, which makes it juicy and salty for a very long finish.
