2025 Riesling Quant
Quote from Christian Loewen: Quant is a synonym in my Moselle Franconian dialect to describe an all-round good thing: eating well in a pleasant atmosphere, having a nice evening, having fun with friends; in short, feeling completely at ease is Quant. The Quant Riesling should embody this attitude towards life. The Riesling ripens until November to give time for full fruit development. When the grapes are harvested late, the weather is already cold, and the must arrives in the cellar at low temperatures. The spontaneous fermentation that we practice lasts for many weeks at the cool temperatures. Many wines have a small, natural sugar residue. These wines show a beautiful harmony with a dry taste impression, just harmoniously dry. The elegance and fruit of these wines is captivating and enjoyable. A pleasure for which I can spontaneously think of a word. quant. A wine that perfectly expresses my philosophy of winemaking.
