In most places, the Nahe valley is quite wide. Here, however, where the grapes for our Felsenberg GG grow, the river meanders through a narrow valley lined with steep and jagged cliffs. This makes the Felsenberg site a "Riesling paradise". Although the wines share their smoky, mineral character with those from the nearby Kupfergrube, Felsenberg wines are juicier when young, often with hints of tropical fruit.
