Vines in experimental cultivation.
Up until 200 years ago, single-variety vineyards were the exception on the Moselle. In addition to Riesling, a wealth of other grape varieties grew in the vineyards. This wine revives the old mixed planting of the early modern period. The following grape varieties can be found in the plot: Riesling, Gelber Kleinberger, Gelber Orlean, Grüner Adelfränkisch, Grüner Franconian, Weißer Heunisch and Weißer Traminer. All grapes are harvested at the same time, pressed together and fermented in Fuder barrels.
